Dagmar Windisch is a creative producer with 15 years of experience in the fields of creative development, production, organization and general management of musical productions and other stage events. Between 1998 and 2004, she established the in-house productions and license acquisition departments for the international entertainment agency BB Promotion based in Mannheim. She continued working for the company as well as for other promoting companies: as a producer, as a creative consultant and in strategic and production analysis continously securing new projects. The creative development of musical productions and the initiation, negotiation and structural development of international co-productions in the field of commercial theater are her areas of expertise. For this purpose, she established a broad network for her circle of clients.
outside eye on theatre arts was founded in 2002 and operates as a limited company since 2011. The company is intent on scouting of theatre plays and musicals from the UK and the USA. Further more the service includes creative- and production consulting, creative producing and casting.
Dagmar Windisch is a translator of the authors Keith Huff, Zach Helm, Gina Gionfriddo, Theresa Rebeck, Glen Berger, David Lindsay-Abaire, Brook Berman, Kathleen Clarke and Piers Chater Robinson.
She is currently engaged in the transfer of a series of promising stage plays as well as musicals and is in charge of the realisation of We Will Rock You in France, Switzerland, Austria and Germany. She has been active in theatre-tour production since 1994. Since 1998, she has been artistically responsible for the adaptation and production of 21 long-running European and international productions: in 2009 the musical Hairspray premiered in Cologne. New tours of the Rocky Horror Show and of the West Side Story 2013/14 are planned. Initialised co-productions by outside eye are Catch Me If You Can at the Theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna 2013 and Hairspray in Merzig Germany 2012
Her professional focus at the theatre is directed towards the promotion of performers and authors. For Dagmar Windisch discovering foreign-language authors and their individual language as well as the artistic development of creative teams and young stage talents belong to the most exciting challenges of her profession.
